Royal Kona Resort, Director of Tennis Announcement

I have an important announcement to make. My life is coming full circle! Getting back to my roots and heading into a new chapter of my life—as the Royal Kona Resort Director of Tennis in Kailua-Kona.

I feel fortunate to have held the Director of Tennis position at Waialae Iki 5 for the past 35 years. This experience played a significant role in my career development.

Recently, I accepted a job offer for the Director of Tennis position at the Royal Kona Resort. The timing of this opportunity to move back to Kona was unexpected. Still, it was something that my wife, Heather, and I knew we would do eventually.

Royal Kona Resort, Director of Tennis — Fortuitous!

We had planned to move back in the near future to assist my parents, though I had no idea a Director of Tennis opportunity would be part of it. The Royal Kona Resort position couldn’t have happened at a better time!

Our family home sits on farmland previously planted with coffee and macadamia nuts. Now, it’s mostly fruit trees threatened by unwanted, invasive vegetation. Maintaining the land does take manual labor.

And my parents could use more help with other tasks as well. Heather and I have been doing what we could for a while now, flying back and forth as often as possible. Unfortunately, COVID put an end to those trips this past year.

This isn’t Goodbye — It’s A Hui Hou!

Since 1985, I’ve enjoyed providing my Oahu customers with stringing service, a custom demo program, and competitive pricing on Prince products. I’m grateful for your support and the friendships we’ve developed! I’m sad to leave, but we’re looking forward to our new roles in Kona.

The last day that you can drop off a racquet for stringing is December 31, 2020.
AM Stringing is not saying goodbye. I plan to provide continued service and sales. Stay tuned for another article on the details!

For now, here is the press release regarding the Royal Kona Resort Director of Tennis transition.
